House of Ruth Hotline (800) 999-9999
Home

The success of House of Ruth is dependent on the support of community members who share our vision. Together, we can provide women and children with the resources to improve their lives and work to reduce violence in our communities. There are a number of ways that you can support us in this important work:

Make a Donation
The support of individual donors is vital to the work we do at House of Ruth. To make a contribution, you can Donate online or print and mail a Donation Form with your check or credit card donation. To make a donation of goods, please call (909) 623-4364.   View House of Ruth's Wish List

Volunteer
House of Ruth welcomes community members to volunteer at our agency. All volunteers participate in a comprehensive 40-hour training; upon completion of this training volunteers may work in our Shelter, in our Children’s Program, on our Hotline, at our community legal clinics, in our administrative department, and at community and fundraising events.

Planned Giving
A planned gift differs from regular contributions because it creates an opportunity for donors to achieve a greater impact with their giving. Frequently a pending financial or personal decision is the context for such a gift: the preparation of a will, the sale of a business or real property, even a financial windfall. Often such a gift will create an endowment to continue, in the donor’s name, the work of House of Ruth far into the future.

Other ways to contribute:

Workplace Giving and Matching Funds Programs
Many companies have workplace giving programs and will often match an employee’s contribution to a charity. Find out whether your company has a matching gifts program; you may have the opportunity to double your donation.

Donate a Cell Phone
Do you have a cell phone that you don’t use? Are you planning to replace your phone soon? You can help House of Ruth by donating your used cell phones, which we can turn into money for our programs.

House of Ruth's Annual Holiday Store

For victims of domestic violence, the holidays can be a particularly difficult time. Every year, House of Ruth sponsors its annual Holiday Store which provides clients the opportunity to select, at no cost, a gift or two to exchange on Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa. Completely dependent on donations, the Holiday Store is, for many House of Ruth clients, their only resource for a holiday meal or gift for their children. Donated items must be new, toys must be non-violent, and all items must be unwrapped.  Please click here for this year's Wish List.  Monetary donations are always appreciated as are gift cards from local stores. Our clients range in age from teenage to senior citizens. The children we serve range in age from newborn to 18 and are both male and female.

For additional information or to make special arrangements, please call (909) 623-4364.
